Victor Dudarev studied Informatics and Computer Science (Hons B.Sc in 2001) and Automatic Systems of Information Processing and Control (Hons M.Sc in 2003) at the "MATI" - Russian State Technological University named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky. In 2006 he received the title of Dr. (Candidate of Technical Sciences in System Analysis, Control and Information Processing) from the Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies for his research on integrated database system for information support of decision making in prediction of inorganic substances properties.
From 2001 to 2022 he worked at A.A. Baikov Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science (Russian Academy of Sciences) from a software engineer to a leading scientific researcher, developing a number of information systems on inorganic substances and materials properties, as well as an integrated database system on the properties of inorganic substances. He also worked as an associate professor at the Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technologies (2011-2018), National University of Science and Technology MISIS (2018-2022), HSE University (2015-2022) and has been awarded for several times as the best lecturer of the year. Since September 2022 he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in CRC247 INF project at the chair of Materials Discovery and Interfaces, Ruhr University Bochum, focusing on research data management.
